I most recently got my heart broken by a U.S. Marine when I found him trying to get other girls through an ad he placed on Craigslist. It was his hometown, his profession, his age, and his horrible spelling that gave him away. I dumped him immediately and let him know he’d been busted, and he has not said a word to me since. I took a small bit of revenge of my own and placed a “reply ad” in the same section his ad had been in and uploaded his picture (it was a pretty good picture too, meaning pretty embarrassing!) and referred girls to his ad, saying he had had a girlfriend when he posted the ad and from that day on (when I posted the ad) he did not have one any more, at least not in me. My friends helped to reduce the pain, but there was not a whole lot of it after the first couple of days. At the end of the day, I know that I deserve better and I know that one day, I will get better than he ever was to me. I am even talking to a new guy now!
